  • Join the Philharmonic for a pre-concert talk at 1:15 PM, prior to the 2:00pm showing.
  • Plymouth Oratorio Society's, Dr. Richard Ingram will be the director.
  • Featuring Martha Sheil, soprano; Stephen Lusmann, baritone; and Lee Actor, composer

Why You Should Go: There is nothing better or more moving than that glorious combination of the chorus and orchestra performing together. Experience the harmonious synchronized melodies at The Ives of March, presented by the Michigan Philharmonic.

Why You'll Love It: The Ives of March brings back favorite artists collaborators, the Plymouth Oratorio Society, under the direction of Dr. Richard Ingram for an extraordinary opportunity to hear not only one of the all-time most popular pieces of classical music, Carl Orff’s ‘O Fortuna’ from Carmina Burana, but also the exquisitely beautiful and lesser-known work, Antonín Dvořák’s Te Deum.

What You'll Hear: California-based composer, Lee Actor’s Opening Remarks is a delightful, upbeat, Shostakovich-styles concert opener. He is followed by Charles Ives' Symphony No. 3, "The Camp Meeting", Antonín Dvořák's "Te Deum Op. 103", and Carl Orff from Carmina Burana's, "Ecce Gratum’ & ‘O Fortuna".
