Why You Should Go: You like to prove your athletic ability in feats of fitness that keep you running, but unfortunately, no one is impressed when you do hundreds of laps around your tiny backyard. Get in gear for a real course, at the Fithathlon Challenge at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, brought to your by Accelerated Fitness.
The Course: The Fithathlon tests your strength, endurance, athleticism and mental toughness with 15-20 obstacles over the course of a 5K. You’ll take part in obstacles like wall climbing, monkey bars, slam dunks, over/under, tunnel crawls, calestethenics, tire flips and more with short lines and minimal waiting.
What You Should Know: The Fithathlon is the perfect challenge for athletic-enthusiasts of all levels, and the course is completed in groups of similar abilities. You will be placed in one of the following groups: Newbie, Beginner, Challenger and Competitor, and set pace with participants of similar skills. Go and get’em tiger.
