Why You Should Go: Maybe you led your high school basketball team to glory or maybe you were picked last in gym class. Either way, grab two to three of your closest, most athletic friends to compete in The Social Games Event on October 6, 2012, a Greenspace Benefit.

Why You’ll Love It: You and hundreds of soon-to-be friends will meet in Piedmont Park to duel over games of cornhole or bocce ball. You’ll enjoy the crisp fall air and socialize with over 1,000 players as you let out your inner child. Pat yourself on the back too, since half the proceeds go to keeping the Piedmont Park Conservancy Greenspace alive and thriving. 

What to Do: No matter which social sport you choose, you’re guaranteed to play two to three games. Afterwards (or during), hit the dance floor, errr, grass to shake it to tunes spun by a DJ all day or catch a college football game on the multiple big-screen TVs in the Beer Garden. Inside the garden, there’s beer and food specials, more games (like flipcup), and later on, awards and prizes for the deserving socialites.
